BetVictor Isthmian League North
Saturday 8th February 2020
Kick Off @ 3:00pm

Tomorrow we make the short trip up the road to Ram Meadow to take on Bury Town in our latest BetVictor Isthmian League North game.

Both sides had away games during the week with Town travelling to AFC Sudbury where they went down to a 0-3 defeat. Despite that though they remain 4th in the table and serious contenders for a play-off place at least. We went to Dereham Town on Tuesday and came away with a battling point thanks to a tremendous rearguard action when down to ten men for the entire second half.

We’ve already played Bury twice this season of course and results so far have gone our way. In August we won 2-1 at Ram Meadow in the FA Cup with goals from Evan Key and Ed Rolph to thank for seeing us through. In December we met for league points at The Bridge and after Simon Swinton had given us a first half lead Ed Rolph added a couple more after the break to give us a convincing 3-0 win.

Town’s form in the league has been strong at Ram Meadow this season where only Tilbury and Canvey Island have taken all the points away with them. Dereham were their last visitors a week ago and were seen off by late late goals from Ryan Stafford and Cemal Ramadan.

As for us, Tuesday’s valuable point kept us well placed in the table and extended our run to four unbeaten. Lance will likely still be without defender Andy Ballester but hopes to be able to call on Ed Rolph after the striker missed out in midweek.
