Bedford Town v Histon

Evo-Stick Southern 1 Central
Monday 2nd Janary 2017
Kick Off @ 3.00pm

Our first game of 2017 sees us make the shortish trip to Bedford to take on The Eagles tomorrow afternoon. Town’s 30 points from their 24 games so far sees them comfortably in mid-table whilst recent form at The Eyrie has seen draws against Fleet and Potters Bar and a 2-1 win over title chasing Farnborough that shows the home side are capable of mixing it with the leading sides in Division 1 Central.

Lance Key goes into this game without his Number 2 as Matt Clements left to take up the manager’s position at St Neots Town yesterday although the Gaffer hopes to be able to appoint a replacement in the near future. On the pitch, Sam Roach is set to continue in goal after an impressive debut against Royston on Monday (Niall Conroy is suspended) and Key has no further new injuries to deal with following the Boxing Day game. Long term absentees Lewis Clayton, Pat Bexfield, Jordan Traynier and Jos Gwynne however all remain sidelined.
