Ashford Town (Middlesex) v Histon
Evo-Stick Southern 1 Central
Saturday 1st April
Kick Off @ 3.00pm
We go to The Robert Parker Stadium, home of Ashford Town (Middx) on Saturday in search of another vital three points as we look to keep our survival hopes alive. After last Saturday’s disappointment against Aylesbury the Manager and his squad know that, with just five games remaining, only wins now will do.
The Tangerine’s form has picked up recently and they have won their last two games, both away, at Aylesbury United and Beaconsfield SYCOB respectively and are in a comfortable mid-table position with 49 points from 37 games.
When Ashford visited The Glassworld just before Christmas they took away all three points courtesy of a 4-1 victory with James Carman’s debut goal from the penalty spot only a late consolation. Lance will be looking to turn that result around this time though and will be able to call on Dan Gleeson after the experienced defender completed his three game suspension last Saturday.
