Saturday sees a return to action at Bridge Road, as we welcome tenants, Cambridge City to challenge for the Stephen Parker Memorial Trophy, Kick Off 3pm
The name the adorns this fixture need no introduction, with ‘Stevo’ being widely known in the area for his love of Histon Football Club, and non-league football as a whole. We all very much look forward to welcoming Bill, Corrine, and the rest of the Parker family to Bridge Road for this clash.
As it has been over the years, with many players having made the switch between the two sides, this fixture will be sure to provide many talking points, even though there is not 3 points up for grabs on this occasion.
Our last outing against the Lilywhites was a close knit affair, with City edging out 1-0 winners at Bridge Road in April, with a bumper crowd of 881 in attendance.
With just 2 more fixtures to go until our United Counties League campaign begins, manager Lance Key will no doubt be hoping to take plenty of positives, and of course keep his side injury free before July 30th.
