Steve Fallon took his new look squad into this game hoping to build on the second half showing against Egham Town on Saturday but came away disappointed when two goals in each half saw the home side run out comfortable winners.

The home side went ahead in the 16th minute when Silford blocked Max York’s clearance and drilled the ball home. Histon almost levelled on 37 minutes when a ball into the box was nearly inadvertently turned in by a home defender. The resulting corner was cleared and the home side broke, the ball finding it’s way to Hall who curled home a lovely finish into the far corner for 2-0.

The second half saw Histon make a couple of chances to get back into the game. Sibanda’s pace got him past the full back and his pull back into the area found Unwin whose shot was blocked. Danny Gould took the ball down beautifully in the area soon after but his left footed half volley flew over the bar.

The hosts made the game safe with just over 10 minutes left when Christie nipped inbetween Watson and Conroy to take the ball round the keeper and side foot home to make it 3-0. Hall then added his second of the night with a couple of minutes left on the clock.
