Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Tuesday 13th February 2018
Kick Off 7:45pm

The pitch has passed a 3pm pitch inspection so tonight’s game goes ahead as planned.

Lance will want to make it 10 games in a row unbeaten tonight to keep our tremendous run of form going and maintain our push towards the top of the table.

If all goes well we will have the chance to close the gap on Stowmarket to 2 points with the team continuing to impress on Saturday when bringing home all three points from a tough away day at Brantham Athletic. In-form strike pair Ed Rolph and Matt Hayden shared the goals on Saturday and now have 9 between them from the last 4 games.

We were at Yarmouth back in November and came away with all the points from a memorable 6-1 win. The first half hour of that game had suggested the result may go the other way though with the home side on top and taking an early lead but a red card for the hosts sparked us into life and goals from James Carman, Pat Bexfield, Evan Key, Casey Phillips and a couple from Matt Hayden saw us emphatically home.

Lance will have some selection decisions to make with both Lee Smith and Evan Key available again tonight. Charlie Brown made a welcome return from the bench on Saturday and is also available but Tommy Wright (thigh) and Will Lawton (knee) remain out.

Our visitors sit 17th in the table currently but have a couple of games in hand on those teams aroud them. Recent results have been a bit patchy but in their last four games they have beaten both Godmanchester Rovers and, impressively, took all three points away at Felixstowe & Walton last time out.
