| Alex Kaufman Attends at Orchard Park Primary School Sports Day | ||
![]() A very important part of our football club are the residents of the neighbouring Orchard Park area. I was very fortunate to have been invited to the local school, Orchard Park Primary, to attend their annual sports day on 15 July 2010. With the school having fewer than 100 children currently walking in the school gates every day, the school has a great unity about it. The teachers are very warming and friendly and every single child is treated as an individual. This is evident by the fact the kids seem to have a lot of respect for the teachers and vice versa. A very happy school where everyone is polite and friendly. The children were put into ‘house groups’ which were determined by colour. There were 8 stations, with each station being a different event such as egg and spoon races, bean bag balancing, obstacle courses, football dribbling and throwing events. There were also running races for the KS2 children. The event was really well organised and the kids showed excellent attitude and teamwork, working hard on all the events and helping each other out. Especially as there were points at stake!!! As part of FITC being involved, every child in the winning ‘house group’ received a mascot prize for our first home game of the season against Barrow FC. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE CHILDREN IN THE RED ‘HOUSE’. I was delighted to present the mascot prizes and everyone at Histon FC is looking forward to seeing the children and their families at the game. Alex Kaufman FITCO ![]() Monday 19th July 2010 | ||
