Craig Pope to Attend Saturdays Game
Craig Pope is set to attend this Saturday’s Blue Square Premier fixture between Histon and Burton Albion as he considers a return to the Stutes. The Histon manager and Chairman met with Craig following the fans' forum convincing the player that the Histon fans are 100% behind him and that a return to training and the Histon dressing room is the right decision.
The club have made no secret of their desire to see Craig return and although Craig is yet to confirm he is coming back to the club as a player it believes his attendance at Saturday's game and the support of fans will demonstrate to Craig he is wanted by Histon FC. Wednesday night's fans' forum was described as an informative and constructive meeting by Histon chairman Gareth Baldwin who spoke on Thursday after talking with Craig “The feeling of everyone at the fans' forum was that having reviewed the evidence and watched the video we would all get behind Craig to try and show our support so he can come back to the club knowing that whatever happens we all want him back playing for Histon FC. Now everyone knows our reasoning it’s time to move on and that’s what I hope we can all do. Craig coming Saturday is a big step forward one that I hope will lead to him returning to training next week.”
