Brian Page joins the Real Man Challenge for Cancer Research UK

We are delighted to announce that our very own Brian Page was the first man to put pen to paper and throw down the gauntlet to the rest of the field in The Real Man Challenge, a fund raising event taking place on Saturday May 4th with all proceeds raised going to Cancer Research UK.

The Real Man Challenge Trophy is kindly sponsored by The Grove Café in Oldhurst and this is where, at 7.00am, Brian will report for Registration and start the day with a full English breakfast cooked to perfection by our hosts, Neil and Charlotte Chaney.

Event One - A fishing match at the both picturesque and prolific fishery Magpie Lake in Pidley.

Event Two - An archery competition at Jubilee Park Huntingdon

Event Three - A golf challenge.

Event Four - The fitness test.

Event Five - Bowling Showdown

This will be followed by the presentation of The Real Man Challenge Trophy and a few words from Laura Holland on behalf of Cancer Research UK.

Brian’s Just Giving Page under the banner of The Real Man Challenge, is available here www.justgiving.com/Brian-Page to enable you to start making donations online straight away or if you prefer, sponsorship forms will be available at the club from Val’s desk on match days if you would rather make your much valued contribution that way.

So the simple master plan for The Real Man Challenge is 30 clubs times the brilliant sponsorship I know our combined and committed fans can generate added to additional money raised on the day will absolutely smash the our initial target of £7,000. I know we will all have differing views on what makes a Real Man but I think we would all agree that it takes a Real Man to make that trip to the GP's when you find things aren't quite how they should be.

Don't give cancer a head start. Do it now.

Cancer Research UK and You - Striking a Real Blow against Cancer.

Looking forward to your support.
