Ben Coker has this afternoon signed on an initial one month loan from Colchester United. The left back joins the squad as manager Dennis Greene looks to strengthen a defensive line that is missing the still injured Ian Gayle and with Remy Clerima and Grant Roberts both doubts for tomorrow’s game at home against Vauxhall Motors, extra cover was required.

Ben is no stranger to Histon having been at the club in his younger days before moving on to Barton Rovers and then to Bury Town where his performances caught the eye of the Colchester scouts. He has since made over 40 First Team appearances in his two seasons at the Essex club.

The paperwork was completed this afternoon and Ben is available for selection tomorrow as we take on Vauxhall Motors here at the Glass World Stadium (kick off 3.00pm).
