 Keith Nichols writes:The HIST has just kicked off an initiative to raise funds by collecting unused mobile phones and converting them into cash. The raised money will be well directed against key initiatives within Histon FC and we will be keeping close track of it's progress on behalf of you the supporters of our club. HOW YOU CAN HELP Most people have one or more old, unused, or broken mobile phones at home. If you would like to donate it to help Histon FC, then just text me on 0750 886 3617 to let me know that you have a mobile phone which you would like to donate to the "mobile for cash" fundraising initiative and we will collect it from you. You don't need to do anything else. We will do it all. You may even have friends, relatives or work colleagues that have a disused mobile phone in their draws that they would be keen to provide There are very few makes that we cannot gain money from, whether fully working or not operating correctly. You don't need to provide the battery charger (but the battery is important). HOW YOU CAN GET YOUR MOBILE TO US Once you have texted me, I will call you back and arrange a convenient time with you to collect it. Alternatively, bring it along to the next home match and place it in the red bucket (it is likely that I will be holding it) WHAT HAPPENS NEXT We do all the paperwork with a buyer of the mobile phone. We arrange its shipment to the buyer and once received, funding goes straight into the HIST bank account. Your help is very much appreciated. I look forward to you helping histon FC through the HIST. If you have a mobile phone that you no longer want, just text me. With your permission, we will publish the names of donors thanking them for their support. All paperwork relating to the sale will be maintained by the HIST and will be available for inspection on request.
