Histon won 4-2 this afternoon aginst Godmanchester Rovers, stretching our unbeaten start to the campaign to 8 games and going to the top of the table.
Ed Rolph kicked things off on 6 minutes, tucking home the loose ball after Rovers’ keeper Phil Peachey could only parry Danny Goulds’ shot. Matt Hayden made it two with a well placed shot on 28 minutes and Joe Sutton added a third just before the break when his shot from the edge of the area got past Peachey. Matt Hayden added aother with 64 minutes gone before Jack Chandler and Simon Unwin pulled a couple back for Rovers to make things interesting in the last ten minutes.
