Ben Yeomans and Tommy Wright both scored for the second game running as we finally secured our first home points of the season with a crucial win over Petersfield Town. Lance Key welcomed Dan Gleeson back to the club and the experienced defender went straight into the side alongside skipper Max York at the heart of the defence.

ptfc3Yeomans’ first half strike had us ahead at the break before Wright steered home Matty Allan’s near post corner with 20 minutes to go to double our advantage.

The visitors halved the deficit with 10 minutes left on the clock when Matt Andrews converted from the penalty spot to set up a nervy final few minutes but the lads saw the game out for a vital victory ahead of the visit of AFC Dunstable on Tuesday evening.
