Football In The Community (FITC) – Match Day Experience


Have you ever dreamed of playing on the pitch at Wembley or even Old Trafford? Alas, we can't offer you that here at Histon BUT we can give you the chance to play on the Glass World pitch and feel like a pro!

As part of our Football in the Community scheme, we are delighted to offer brand new experiences for local youth teams (colts and mini league) on home match days.

Below are the types of match day experience we can offer your club.

Histon Invitation Cup

A 40 minute, 5-a-side tournament between your own team or another team. 20 players will be needed with the players divided into 4 teams. The tournament is set as a semi-final and final knock-out format with the winners then receiving awards.

Elite Match Day Training

Another experience we can offer your team is an on field training session coached by our FA/UEFA qualified community coaches. These sessions will last for 40 minutes and will provide players with fun, technical based games which will help to develop your team.

All players taking part in either experience will have the opportunity to become a guard of honour before the game and take part in half time shootouts and games.

Photo and autograph opportunities will also be available throughout.

Please be aware that match day experience start times will depend on the start time of the main match (evening or afternoon). Severe bad weather might also require the match day experience to be changed or postponed.
