Football In The Community (FITC) – Inclusion

FITC run several projects in order to engage all the various groups and communities through the power of football. All the projects we run provide positive outcomes for all the individuals involved. Everyone is seen as an achiever: The objectives of the programme are:

  • To engage young people in a range of constructive activities which link to the Every Child Matters framework.
  • To reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in targeted neighbourhoods
  • To break down barriers between police and young people
  • To increase the playing, coaching and officiating opportunities for participants
  • To encourage volunteering within the projects and throughout the target neighbourhoods
  • To increase young peoples interest in and connections with the professional game
