Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Saturday 30th December 2017

A hard fought win over determined opponents yesterday rounded off a successful Christmas programme that has seen us take maximum points from three games with 10 goals scored and none conceded.

It was an own goal by Town’s keeper Luke Pearson just after the hour that gave us the breakthrough after in-form striker Ed Rolph’s shot had cannoned back out off the post to hit the unfortunate keeper on the back before rolling over the line.

Rolph did get on the scoresheet though with ten minutes to go, hooking a powerful shot into the net from 10 yards out to secure the points and move us up to 7th in the table ahead of next Saturday’s game against high flying Coggeshall Town at The Glassworld.

An own goal puts us 1 up in the 63rd minute.

Ed Rolph gets his 4th in 3 games to double the lead with 10 minutes to go.
