Parking Policy
Histon Football Club board of Directors have agreed this parking policy to assist visitors in respect of where they are able to park whilst visiting the Glassworld Stadium. Due to the increased restrictions and enhanced safety measures that we are required to comply with we have had to reduce the number of spaces available within the stadium car park.

On match days the car park at the Glassworld Stadium is a closed / supervised area, this means that there is NO PARKING other than for designated vehicles and authorised Disabled persons.

All Directors, President Club members, Sponsors, Staff, Team Managers and First team players will have an authorised parking permit. These permits will be numbered, these numbers will relate to a parking space within a specified area in the ground. All permit holders shall park in their numbered space; if a vehicle is found to be continuously parked in another space their permit may be revoked.

Parking Permits

Parking permits are to be displayed in the vehicle of the person / s that they are issued to. Parking permits are strictly not transferable, this includes to partners vehicles and family members, any permit found to be in an unauthorised vehicle will have it removed and / or the issued person will be reported to the Club Secretary for the issue to be dealt with.

Disabled Access

Disabled visitors to the Glassworld Stadium must ensure that they have registered their intention to attend a specific match with Histon Football Club Disabled Liaison Officer two days prior to that match. This is imperative so as to be able to ensure a space is reserved.

Any disabled driver arriving at the stadium on a match day that has failed to register their request for parking will be refused entry to the car park.

Every effort will be made to assist with getting these persons directions to a location as near to the ground as possible.

Emergency Vehicles

Two spaces will be cross hatched for emergency vehicles to be located adjacent to the First-Aid room.

Restriction times

Car parking at the ground on match days will be until 1 hour prior to kick off. Persons arriving after this will need to find alternative parking (other than Directors who will be escorted to their space at walking pace behind a steward). This will ensure the safety of pedestrian spectators.

Exit from the car park will not be until 30 minutes after the final whistle to ensure the safety of pedestrian spectators.

At no point will vehicles be allowed to enter the car park on match day (between 1300hrs – 1730hrs) – (1730hrs – 2230hrs) to drop off persons or goods.

Visiting supporters’ coaches

No visiting supporters’ coaches will be allowed to off load their passengers at the ground, all supporters coaches must off load at the Railway Vue, and the coach will then park in either Villa Rd lay-by or at the junction of Cambridge Rd / Bridge Rd.

Post match all coach travelling supporters will return to the Railway Vue to be collected by their Coach.

Alternative Parking

There will be a map indicating additional parking areas within the village that have been agreed with local companies, we ask that you respect their facilities.

Your assistance in parking respectfully and safely in the village is requested by Histon Football Club.

PLEASE DO NOT OBSTRUCT ANY ENTRANCES TO THE SPIRE CAMBRIDGE LEA HOSPITAL AS THIS MAY HINDER EMERGENCY VEHICLE ACCESS.
